‘Circulate’

Circulate is composed of thirty-six vertical sheets of toughened glass which slot into a custom-made circular mahogany stand. The glass sheets are identical in size and each one is screen printed with a matt black circle with a diameter of 8cm. This work is based upon the parallax view, which is the displacement of an object due to a change in the observer’s position. The layers of glass momentarily combine to produce a three-dimensional image of a floating black ring.
